About our Team
Erica Slason, MLIS
After a brief hiatus, Erica returned to her birthplace of Montgomery County in 2022. She received her Masters in Library and Information Sciences with a concentration in Local Archives from Clarion University. At HSMC, Erica is in charge of the research library and the archival collections. As of fall 2026 she stepped into the role of Interim Executive Director with a primary focus on sustaining our outward growth into the community. Outside of HSMC she enjoys crocheting dolls and is an at-home amateur cake decorator.
Tia Mastromatto, MA
Tia received both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. With her degrees in Anthropology and English (Writing, Teaching, and Criticism), she has worked as an archaeologist and research specialist for behavioral sciences related to driver safety. At HSMC she is in charge of office management and research queries. When she is not at HSMC, she volunteers in her community.
Justine Musick
Justine grew up in Montgomery and Bucks counties. She has a passion for stewardship of the environment and local identity. From the Horsham Preservation and Historical Association to the 118 North Music venue, her work is driven by her belief in building healthy local communities. Her B.S. in Architectural Preservation came from Temple University. She now spends her free time painting, as well as studying cross-cultural shamanic practice, in which she also holds a certification.
Minko
Minko means “seed” in Lenape. Our friend Minko is our mascot. In 1785, the University of Pennsylvania deeded a portion of its land to the citizens of the “Town of Norris.” For the sale, the university requested a yearly rent of one acorn which is why we adopted the acorn as our seal. Over a century later, Minko found his way into our office and our hearts.
