Looking for an article titled “First Main Line Baby of 1947” that was in The Ardmore Chronicle. That was me. Is there any chance that I can get a copy of that photo of my mother and me? Oh I hope so. It would be the only photo of me when I was a baby. I have the photo on my cell phone. I was just hoping for a single copy to put in a frame.

Hi Janet – we only have the Ardmore Chronicle from 1904-1918 so unfortunately I do not think we have a copy of the issue you are looking for.

Sorry to butt in, but is it possible there are copies of the Ardmore Chronicle that exist on microfilm and haven’t been digitized yet? You might have luck there. I know Bryn Mawr College has copies of their old newspapers all the way back to the beginning on microfilm. I’ve used them before. It’s possible the Ardmore library might still have a machine. If you’re not in the area, I could try to look into it for you, but it might take a bit. I’m in a play and we’re coming up on tech week, plus I have a bunch of other graduating senior stuff to take care of.
