At one time, Montgomery County and neighboring Bucks County had 79 bridges. Today, ony 12 remain - all in Bucks County. Why is the covered bridge extinct in Montgomery County? And what act led to the preservation of today's surviving local bridges?

Join writer and historian R. Scott Bomboy for the in-depth look at the birth, demolition, and preservation of these beloved "Wooden Treasures," including rare pictures of the long-lost covered bridges that spanned the Schuylkill River and Perkiomen Creek. This event is free and open to the public.
