Montgomery Cemetery was the first public Cemetery association within Montgomery County. The cemetery of thirty acres was used by most of the populace of Norristown and contain the remains of many war veterans starting with the War of 1812.
The tombstone inscriptions were copied between the year of 1978-1984. The original burial records were destroyed by fire prior to 1940, making this book a valuable resource to those researching those buried in this historic Cemetery. (Indexed for easy reference).
