Administrative Note: The Aged Women's Home of Montgomery County was founded by Dr. Mary Henderson Stinson in her will in 1889. The home was for women over 56 who were respectable but indigent and had resided in Montgomery County for at least 10 years. It was incorporated in 1894. It closed in 1976.
Scope and content: This collection consists of papers of the Ages Women's Home of Montgomery County, also known as the Stinson Home. There is a notebook of information on the home's denizen's including birth and death. There is also a rule book for the home and a contracts for Prscilla Stevens and Angeline Wanner. Minutes of the Board of Managers from 1939 through the home's closing in 1976 are also included.
