The Childs Family made their home at 15 Jacoby Street. Louis was born on August 19, 1852. He became a prominent attorney in Norristown after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in 1872. Alice (Hibberd) was born on March 27, 1864.  They were married in 1889 and raised three children: Alice H. (1891-1972), Marjorie (1892-1931), and Louis M. (1900-1946). They attended the First Presbyterian Church in Norristown. Louis died in 1926, but Alice significantly outlived him. She died at the age of 92 on December 9, 1955.
