Daniel Streeper was born in Providence, Rhode Island in 1855. Streeper was a plumber and a gas & steam fitter from Norristown. Streeper helped create the valve mechanism for the inside of toilets. He was a great admirer of President Theodore Roosevelt. After each hunting trip he attended, he would send the president the saddle of the best deer that he had shot. Streeper died in 1906.
